New Delhi, May 15, 2024: Madhavi Raje Scindia, the mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, breathed her last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Wednesday morning. The news of her demise was confirmed by a statement from Jyotiraditya Scindia’s office.
Madhavi Raje Scindia had been battling illness for the past three months and was undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, she succumbed to her condition at 9:28 am today.
The late Madhavi Raje Scindia was not just the mother of a prominent political figure but also held her own esteemed position in society. As the erstwhile ‘Rajmata’ of the Gwalior Royal Family and the wife of late Congress leader Madhav Rao Scindia, she was revered by many.
According to reports from ANI, Madhavi Scindia’s health had been deteriorating over the last few months, leading to her prolonged stay at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. PTI sources indicated that she had been on a ventilator during her final days and was battling pneumonia along with sepsis.
