The box office witnessed a spectacular surge on the third day for Prasanth Varma’s latest directorial venture, “HanuMan,” featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role. This superhero flick has not only captured the audience’s attention but has also emerged as a game-changer in the Telugu film industry.

“HanuMan” experienced a remarkable 24.50% jump in its box office collections on the third day, with a staggering ₹15.50 crore amassed on the first Sunday. The movie’s momentum was evident on Saturday as well, with a 55.65% surge, garnering ₹12.53 crore. The cumulative domestic collection now stands impressively at ₹40.15 crore.

Noteworthy Collections:

The movie’s success is not only reflected in its overall figures but also in the specific contributions from the Telugu and Hindi versions. The Telugu version accounted for ₹8.4 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹4.13 crore to the overall box office earnings.

“HanuMan”: Telugu Cinema’s First Superhero Extravaganza:

Being hailed as Telugu cinema’s inaugural superhero film, “HanuMan” generated buzz even before its release. The paid premiere, exclusively for Telugu audiences, raked in ₹4.15 crore on Thursday. The film’s official release on the following day saw a robust collection of ₹8.05 crore, with ₹5.89 crore from the Telugu version and ₹2.1 crore from the Hindi version.

“HanuMan” vs. “Merry Christmas” Box Office Clash:

In a clash of releases, “HanuMan” faced off against “Merry Christmas,” both hitting the screens on January 12. The latter, while collecting ₹2.55 crore on its release day, faced tough competition. On Saturday, “Merry Christmas” accumulated ₹3.45 crore, followed by ₹3.75 crore on Sunday, bringing the total domestic collection to ₹9.65 crore after the third day.

Celeb Presence:

Adding to the movie’s allure, actor Rana Daggubati graced the screening of “HanuMan.” Notably, he paid respect to the portrayal of Lord Hanuman in the film by removing his shoes before standing beside the movie posters, embodying the Hindu custom of shoe removal before entering a sacred space.

“HanuMan” has not just soared in box office numbers; it has also become a cultural phenomenon, marking Telugu cinema’s foray into the superhero genre. With Teja Sajja’s stellar performance and Prasanth Varma’s directorial finesse, the film has set a new benchmark for success in the industry.
